Tratos Limited is the UK subsidiary company of Tratos Cavi Spa
We are a UK based electrical cable manufacturer with three sites within the UK; Tratos’s head office and main sales office is located in Chesterfield, Derbyshire with our southern sales office covering London and the South East located in Beckenham, Kent.
Our manufacturing, and technical facilities are based at Knowsley, Merseyside. Our current stockholding is in excess of £3,000,000.
At our Knowsley site (pictured opposite) we have our manufacturing and technical facilities, where we have four extrusion lines along with multiple laying machines for up to 100 pairs for instrumentation type cables; two BX armouring machines for manufacture of corrugated aluminium / steel armour. We have our own testing facilities which include the standard test for voltage, spark test and resistance as well as more in depth tests for elongation, heat shock, shrink back and vertical flame tests. TRATOS Limited is accredited with ISO 9001:2000 for their Quality Assurance also for the “enhanced quality management systems for product related functions”.
We offer a unique service in that we are both a UK manufacturer and stockist of electric and fibre optic cables. This enables us to be competitive on manufactured quantities and also offer an ex stock cut to length service.
Our product range includes single and multi conductor high temperature, Fire Resistant, Low Smoke & Fume, Rubber, Energy Cables from Low Voltages up to 132kV,Railway, Motorway, Data, Fibre Optic, Oil & Gas, Shipwiring, Drum Reeling and Telecommunications. As well as Cathodic Protection, Airfield Lighting, Composite and bespoke cables.
From our extensive stock profile we are able to offer a cut to length, next day service with timed deliveries available for pre 9.30a.m delivery if required (some areas this service is not available due to geographical constraints). We can also offer self offloading vehicles as well as special delivery for “out of hours” working. When next day service is not quick enough you can collect from our Chesterfield facility usually within the hour. Collections can be made from 8.30a.m till 5.30p.m, where you will be made very welcome.
